November 2021 makes the 36 Year Anniversary of "Radio" LL Cool J's first album to pay homage, kick off my launch and celebrate my 36th birthday I am hosting a LL Cool J homage cypher & music video production. Presented by DOPE 4EVA Mixtape Series, the first collaborative mixtape series, executively produced by ForEver DOPE Management, "Vol. 1: The Introduction" is currently in production.
Like LL Cool J & Def Jam, my launch, #aForEverDOPEWeekend is a collaboration of talent, service, passion and drive. Growing up in New York City in the early 90's I grew up Hip Hop, being able to witness it at it's best. The evolution of what started in my hometown of the Bronx, NY and how its grown to an actual industry.
I remeber hanging out with DJ Holiday of the Jazzy 5, or rather being at granny's house bohering, cousin Eddie while he "scratched the tracks". Coming home from school while my uncle Don and his friends including Peter Gunz, or as my mom calls him "Who lil Pete?"gathered in a cypher, on the stoop as we walked up. The feeling of having my parents blasting music in the house, car, on the block with the long orange cord, it was all a vibe. One I aim to recreate.
Now I get to lead the way to a new industry, the #IndieIndusrty where we get out and we get it done one our own. Unknowingly, creating a network of business and service. I am on a mission to connect and grow and what better way to reach my goal then to share my launch party with the talented creatives that inspire me everyday.
